General questions live in the full FAQ
What makes it food grade?

The paper and any lamination on it are food contact compliant stocks, made to sit directly against pastry, bread and hot food. Certificates for your market are available on request.

Is greaseproof paper the same as baking paper?

No. Baking paper is silicone coated so food releases in an oven. Greaseproof is a dense paper that stops fat soaking through, made for wrapping and serving. You want greaseproof at the counter and baking paper in the oven.

Will butter or grease come through?

Holding fat back is the whole job of greaseproof paper. Butter, sugar and oil stay off your print and off your customer. For very hot, very greasy food over longer trips, we quote the food grade laminated build.

Is the ink anywhere near the food?

No. Printing sits on the outside face only, and the food touches the plain greaseproof inner.

Flat or satchel, and what is the difference?

Flat bags are two faces sealed at the sides, for cookies and single pastries. Satchel bags add a side gusset, so they open wider and take a burger or a filled sandwich. Both fold flat behind the counter.

Where are the bags made?

In China, through specialist production facilities, and every run is quality checked before it ships.

Do I see a sample before the full run?

Yes, always. A printed pre-production sample is $250 and you approve it before the machines start. The $250 comes back in full when you place the order.
