Fair question, because the word gets used loosely. Real compostability is a certification, not a marketing claim: the film stocks we use are certified against EN 13432, the European industrial composting standard, and carry the OK compost mark, with ASTM D6400 equivalents for the US. We share the certificates for your run on request.
Home composting or industrial?
Standards and conditions differ by market, and the honest answer depends on the certificate behind your run. Ask us and we supply the current documentation for your country.
Can it hold hot or wet takeaway?
Everyday counter loads, hot boxes and chilled goods are what it is made for. It behaves like the vest carrier your customers already know.
How should I store the stock?
Cool and dry, and rotate it. The film is designed to break down eventually, so order what you use rather than years of stock.
Is it weaker than a normal plastic bag?
Comparable for normal counter loads. We match the film gauge to what you sell.
Where are the bags made?
In China, through specialist production facilities, and every run is quality checked before it ships.
Do I see a sample before the full run?
Yes, always. A printed pre-production sample is $250 and you approve it before the machines start. The $250 comes back in full when you place the order.
